Clarisonic!

Hey everyone!

I know it's been a while since I made a post but this is a good one.

I recently purchased a Clarisonic and I am SOOOOOO happy I did!

Of course I had to get a cute one, and the Keith Haring special edition is perfect!!! He's always been one of my favorite artists. If you don't know his history or his work, pleeeease look him up. Amazing history and huge impact on society and equality.

But back to the tool at hand. I love love love this thing! It leaves my skin suuuuper super soft and clean. I use Boscia detoxifying black soap with it, but you can use any cleanser obviously. I would stay away from things with exfoliants. You won't get the same effect.

I think mine was around $100 which sounds expensive and I'm sure there are different brands for less, but it is worth it. Mine also a comes with a timing system so I know when to start on another section of my face. I have seen such a difference in the texture of my skin.

And since it's waterproof, it cuts down on my skincare routine. I just combine my shower routine, rinse all at once!

Definitely recommend.

Hello Everyone!!
I know I haven't had a post in a while and I wanted to share what I've been up to. It is finals week, so I will be studying my butt off. Grad school is seriously no joke. But it will be well worth it in the end when I receive my MBA.

I have been honing my makeup skills and found a drugstore foundation which I actually love more than my Sephora brand (which is still amazing). I am wearing it in the photo. Maybeline Fit Me Matte & Poreless for normal to oily skin.

It is seriously amazing! Keeps my shine under control without making me look fake. It was around $8 which is a steal. Seriously. I will definitely continue to purchase this product. They could improve the shade range but I am glad they had a shade to match my skin tone and undertones.

It gives a pretty good (medium) coverage. I usually color correct which I did in this photo, but I could wear this without doing much correction at all.

Highly recommended! :)

Thanks for hanging out with me as I keep it "pretty honest."
Check back next week for more makeup looks.

Beauty on a budget - cheap alternatives

Hey guys!

So if you are cheap, like me, don't be ashamed! I don't like to spend $100 on make up every time I walk into Sephora. Buuuutt it does happen....often. Good thing is, it pays off! Sometimes I even get things for FREE. Yes. Free. I'm talking, no purchase necessary free!

How? *you ponder*

Sign up for the Sephora Beauty Insider. It's really that simple.

From free samples, to free gifts on your birthday. They are usually a sample size, but good thing a little goes a long way with makeup.

Ulta is another good place to sign up for the rewards!

Here are some of the samples I've gotten from Sephora in the past couple weeks. All for free. Freeeeeee! I'm favorite F word ☺️

Bare Minerals - acne prone skin power w/ brush
Sephora - lip gloss rouge and "The Mascara"
GlamGlow - FlashMud Brightening Treatent
Benefit - The POREfessional License to Blot

After you spend a certain amount you can become a VIB! With every purchase you collect points that can be used towards other sample products.

It's okay to be frugle! Just keeping it pretty honest.

Sensitive Skin / Bare minerals powder foundation

My sensitive skin has always been a problem for me.

But, I've been looking for a powder foundation, since it is 10 times quicker than liquid. Bare minerals has always been an admired talked about brand.

So I went to Sephora to check it out and see how it looked with my skin tone.

The color was beautiful, with decent coverage of my dark spots for the amount I tried on.

Excited about it and how lightweight it was, I went ahead and bought some!

Unfortunelty the next day my face broke out in a horrible rash. Not saying the Bare Minerals makes a bad product, I loved it. Just beware if you have sensitive skin. Try it on a small area, and see if your skin reacts. Very sad that I had one :(
